How to teach kids about bitcoin (without a lecture)

Start with money, not bitcoin. Kids already understand trading, saving and fairness. Book 1 begins there: what money is, and why people needed something better than shells, gold and paper.

Use characters as hooks. "Lana keeps the ledger" sticks better than a definition. Ask your child which member of the Gang they'd be, and why.

Make it physical. Count sats for a snack, write a family "ledger" on paper, or watch a new block arrive on a desk display together.

Read together. The books are written for ages 6–12, so younger kids can listen and older kids can read aloud.
